Tariq Ramadan

Tariq Ramadan is one of the world’s foremost and renowned intellectuals in Islamic academia. Named by Time magazine as amongst the 100 most important innovators of the century, he is currently Professor of Contemporary Islamic Studies at the Oriental Institute, Oxford University, Lecturer in Oxford’s Theology Faculty, and Senior Research Fellow at St Antony's College, Oxford University.

He has advised numerous Western governments, including the American administration in 2003, the British government and recently, the French Government in the French National Assembly, on issues related to Muslims and anti-terrorism policies. Professor Ramadan's books include: Western Muslims and the Future of Islam (2004) and Radical Reform: Islamic Ethics and Liberation (2009).
